Mission: Over the past several years, FOX 5/WNYW and WWOR/UPN 9 has been conducting an Internship Program for college Juniors and Seniors majoring in Broadcast communications and/or Journalism, as well as other areas. They state that after working with us, student gain a background in television production through previous courses and in journalism, specifically in television reporting.
The Internship Program is offered in the following departments:
Sales
Newsroom
News Library/Research
"Good Day New York"
The Internship Program offers:
Hands on training with experts in the various fields of broadcasting.
Access to staff employment opportunities pending availability and qualifications. A $5.00 per day travel stipend.
Skills Learned: Interns will have ability to learn and take advantage of the newsroom experience, be able to multi-task and work in a high pressure environement.To apply send a resume and cover letter to:
