TRANSIT TRANSIT NEWS MAGAZINE is a half hour PBS television show that is broadcast and Cablecast into 22 million homes in the New York Tri-State Area.

TRANSIT TRANSIT NEWS MAGAZINE has internship opportunities for spring, summer and fall. These positions are open until filled. They offer a full hands on production and on-camera reporter program. Unlike the networks their interns are working members of the news crew and cover stories in the field.

Internships available as:

ON-CAMERA TV REPORTER
Student should have talent as a TV news reporter (an audition or school/cable experience is needed). Project Description: Broadcast scriptwriting, news writing and on-air reporting. Prospective interns should have the ability to tell a story on camera and look professional. Also should be able to keep deadlines and establish a team work environment. Must commit a minimum of 14 hours per week . Familiarity with Beta, ENG/EFP equipment and videotape editing helpful.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Project Description
: Field Production in camera operation, lighting and sound. Also videotape editing for presentations for both in-house and public audiences. Work with staff in pre-production, shooting and postproduction in completing assigned projects. Videotapes are produced according to deadlines which vary for each project.
