TV production
Interns on NBC Today get an inside look of how a network program prepares for air.
The main thrust of the internship is research. You will also be asked to screen and log tapes, make research calls, compile statistics, and work with editors in compiling clip reels.
Like most internships, it's not all that glamorous and you will be asked to answer phones, distribute mail, Xerox research for talent, make dubs of show segments, and go out on errands.
You will go out on an occasional shoot, observe the process, and then sit in on an edit session.
