Change of Heart is a nationally syndicated talk show produced by Telepictures Productions, and airing on most of the FOX Network Affiliates. It's a partnership that assures top production values - now and in the long run. The show is on the air in more than 90% of the country, having begun in 1998. In the fiercely competitive talk show market, Change of Heart stands head and shoulders above the rest.
The internship prograrn gives students the knowledge as to how to run a talk show. The intern is exposed to almost every aspect of television production from the production meeting to the studio taping. Interested applicants should have strong communicative skills, both written and oral, and a strong willingness to work in the industry.
Among the many responsibilities of the interns, the following are included;
Assisting the Producers with preparing guests for taping, (i.e. greeting guests at the studio, bringing guests to make-up, preparing guests' for rehearsals, pre-tapes, etc.).
Working w1th the Director and Booth Production Assistant in the control room.
Assisting the Audience Coordinator and Production Manager.
Coordinating incoming telephone calls and responding to viewer mail.
Assisting the Production Assistants in the studio.
To help the intern grasp the true experience of this type of program, the producers try to make them accessible as much as possible. Only serious students should apply, and please note that students must receive credit for their work as there is no monetary stipend.
