Time Warner Production Intern Responsibilities:
At Time Warner Cable, interns are taught hand-on how to be camera, tape, graphics,
teleprompter and audio operators. After they learn a skill, they are inserted
into our crew rotation during programs. Interns will also learn proper set up
and breakdown of sets used for all productions.
Some of the equipment that the interns will be required to learn includes:
Panasonic DVC Pro (Digital Video) Field Camera
Hitachi Digital Studio Camera
Various Audio Consoles
Teleprompter
Lighting (Both studio and field)
Inscriber and Videonics Graphics Systems
Time Warner Cable Television Research Internship Responsibilities:
This position allows students to work with on-air talent as they prepare news
stories and research for interview programs. The Student will use Panasonic
DVC Pro Laptop Editors (digital broadcast equipment) to log footage, read and
summarize newspaper articles, and use the Internet for topic research.
All interns are required to work a minimum of 2 days per week and need to be
flexible with their hours since production schedules vary weekly. During the
fall semesters there are off-site sporting events to tape on the weekends; interns
are strongly recommended to participate. The more that he/she can participate
in the aspects of our business; the more they can be relied upon during the
internship and after, as well. Their experience will last them a lifetime and
be beneficial in achieving their career goals.
