New YorkTV Production/ Television
RDF MEDIA USA, INC in NY City is looking for interns! RDF Media USA is an international production company with offices in London, NY, and Los Angeles. The New York office is currently in production on a hit prime-time network reality show, and has several other shows in development.
If you are interssted in television, this could be a great opportunity to get hands on experience and work with people in the industry. In our program, we want you to learn and benefit from the experience as much as possible so we ask that you devote 2-3 days per week at our office depending on your availability. We want to incorporate you into the system and give you projects instead of errands. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about what goes on far behind the scenes of television, especially reality programming, while gaining college credit. We work with ABC, A&E, VH-1, and TVLand. You may choose from the following internships:
CASTING: Intern would be responsible for accepting and reviewing applications for reality programming, contacting potential applicants for telephone interviews, reviewing and logging video in preparation for editing, maintaining casting databases, researching and advertisement placement, light clerical work, and other special projects as assigned.
PRODUCTION: Intern would be responsible for a number of duties in the midtown Manhattan production office. These responsibilities would potentially include preparing film crews for shoots all across the country, performing research for travel and clearances, logging video in preparation for editing, assisting in the handling of necessary legal/medical forms and contracts, light administrative duties, and other special projects as assigned.
POST-PRODUCTION: Intern would be engaged directly with our Times Square post-production facility learning the process of post-producing a one hour prime-time network reality program including - logging video in preparation for editing, handling equipment and tapes, managing schedules, some administrative duties, and other special projects as assigned.
The internship is un-paid, though lunch is reimbursed for each day you participate.
If this program seems right for you, please e-mail your resume.
Please include the name of the college/university you are currently attending, when you are expected to graduate, and what internship department in which you are most interested.
