NYSE has two internship positions; one as a Broadcast Production Assistant, the other as a Site Assistant.
Broadcast Assistants work and learn in NYSE's Broadcast Center and are responsible for basic production and editing support. Functions include:
_ editing console work;
_ assisting resident cable networks with external interface; tape duplication;
_ and broadcast camera operations.Applicants should know basic editing (Sony/D2 environment preferred) and have some TV production studio experience.
Intern Site Assistants are responsible for basic updating and maintaining of internal and external websites. Functions include: maintaining databases of listed companies and scanning and sizing of logos and other information. Applicants should have a knowledge of PC and an ability to use the Internet; a knowledge of PhotoShop and/or Illustrator and the ability to use ftp, telnet, browsers, email, search engines, etc; Microsoft Office is required; knowledge of JavaScript, Lotus Notes and Java programming is a plus.
