This internship is a practical hands-on program geared toward a working knowledge of broadcast remote equipment. It is designed to provide professional hands-on training for students wishing to work on the technical side of film and video production.
The internship program covers a variety of camera, including Sony PD-150 series and DV-CAM, and recording and sound equipment, as well as the techniques and procedures used in corporate and broadcast television. There will be work with field and on-board recorders, field monitoring, location microphone techniques, and location lighting packages including HMIs, Chimera Banks, Cine-Flo and Dedo Systems.
Additionally, each intern will be exposed to camera-support systems, including the Steadicam SK and dollies; light meters, vectorscopes and waveform monitors, ISO and procedures for balancing color for different lighting situations.
