The Mayor's office of Film needs interns in their Permit Office. This offices issues permits and makes logistical and location arrangements for those wishing to use NYC as a location for feature films, episodic television, music videos and commercials.
Interns work closely with permit coordinators and are responsible for helping applicants fill out their permit forms, verifying identification and insurance, plus keeping permit files updated and organized.
Interns will have the opportunity to meet producers, location managers and others actively working in the television industry. They may also accompany our production coordinators on location scouting throughout the city.
The office is very busy, so interns should be prepared for a fast-paced atmosphere. Interns should be able to work 3 days a week, 9-5.
Interested candidates should email a resume and cover letter to Vivian Cannon at vcannon@film.nyc.gov.
