The sports division of HBO's East Coast Production Department is seeking interns.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility will be working for Inside the NFL
- Assisting the sports production management department with all aspects of coordinating television productions.
- General office administrative duties such as making copies, answering phones, dubbing tapes, organizing, etc.
- Acting as production assistant on various live and pre-taped television productions.
Requirements:
- Must have an extreme and genuine interest in television production. Applicant must be motivated, able to work with and without supervision, and have a strong sense of responsibility.
- Generally, they are looking for someone who can work for as many hours per week as possible. Thursdays 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. are the minimum requirement.
- Intern must be able to receive school credit for the internship.
Experience Offered:
- Excellent introduction to television production on all levels. Invaluable experience in what it is like to work within the framework of national projects. Gain an understanding of what it is like to be part of a corporate environment.
- Work on shows like: Inside the NFL, World Championship Boxing, Real Sports w/Bryant Gumbel, and various sports documentaries. Frequent interaction with managers and producers of national television shows.
Nominal stipend offered.
