Mission: Comedy Central’s internship program provides an opportunity to work, learn, and make contacts at a cable television network. Comedy Central, the only all comedy network, is a 24 hour advertiser-supported basic cable comedy service.
On-Air Promotions Intern - Intern Responsibilities: provide general office support for On-Air Promotions department, assist with external shoot and screenings assist production assistants, assist with occasional off-lining
Productions Department Intern - Intern Responsibilities: provide basic office support, work as a production assistant on various productions, copy and label various programs for other departments, view various COMEDY CENTRAL programs to list talent, content breakdown by segment, and questionable standards and practices issues, help organize program cart sheets, help maintain prop closet and reel library
Production Intern - The Daily Show - Intern Responsibilities: provide basic office support such as inputting information on the computer, work as a production assistant, pick up equipment and craft service, help with set maintenance, work with various departments, assist during rehearsal and taping of show
Programming - Development - Intern Responsibilities: provide general office support, handle all correspondence, review treatment, ie. scripts and submissions, dub video cassettes
Qualifications: interest in comedy a must, prior experience or course work in production programming or development a plus, must receive college credit
