CBS Sports is now accepting applications for the following internship positions.

THIS IS NOT A HANDS-ON INTERNSHIP. YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO USE ANY EQUIPMENT AT CBS.

Job Descriptions for which TV/F Majors may apply: (there are other jobs which are not open to TV/F Majors for credit)

Operations Intern:
Assist entire Operations Department in various capacities. Assist in ordering outside facilities for highlighted feeds. Contact various NFL stadiums to obtain information needed for planning facilities. Work with logistics planning staff to secure hotel space for NFL season. Assist in compiling commercial editing instructions and sales information. Assist in running traffic operation. Observe weekly operations meetings where various elements for all weekend programming are coordinated. Interns will gain extensive knowledge and overview of CBS Sports Operations. Intern will report to Director, Broadcast Operations.

Tape Archives Intern:
Assist the Production Services Department with daily operations. The internship will focus on videotape and music concerns for our weekend broadcasts. Responsibilities will include assisting with nurnerous dub requests, research projects, computer data input, music clearance and adjusting show titles of videotape reels. The intern will interface with CBS Sports Production, Operations, Business Affairs, Sales, Marketing and the Promotions departments. Intern will report directly to the Manager, Production Services.

Production Intern:
The Production Intern will report to the Executive Producer and will be involved in observing edit sessions, viewing tape and performing research as needed. A strong interest in a future in sports production is a necessity.

 

CBS Sports Summer Internship Program

o Applicant must be in school and receive college credit
o Applicant must be available to work Monday thru Friday, 9-5pm.

Students are given a daily allowance of $5.00 for lunch and are reimbursed for transportation to and from work. Position available from approximately early June through late August. All Internships are at the CBS Headquarters in New York (51 West 52nd Street)
