QUALIFICATIONS: Must be an advanced undergraduate/graduate student interested in television/communications/film/media studies.

DESCRIPTION: Atlas Media is a full-service, independent television production company specializing in non-fiction cable programming for clients such as The History Channel, A&E, Discovery Channel, Discovery Health, Warner Brothers/Telepictures Productions, We: Woman's Entertainment, The Travel Channel & Food Network, among others.

DUTIES: An internship at Atlas Media offers an ideal opportunity to learn about the business of commercial television production. Interns will learn to assist coordinators/producers in the production of various shows and will develop skills in media logging, footage selection, transcription, organizing/formatting of scripts, dubbing, research, office administration, field production, equipment screening, library management, etc. Interns are assigned to shows or departments based on interest, skill and availability: operations, development, production and post-production.

Tech support internships are also available.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 2-3 days per week

HOURS: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM

COMPENSATION: Academic credit is available, and a small travel stipend of $10 per day is provided.

DATES: Beginning to end of each semester - hiring in March/April for summer, July/August for fall, and December for spring semester.
