No Maps on My Taps

Professor Rogoff's film No Maps on My Taps has aired nationally and internationally for over two decades. Her film was honored with two Emmy Awards and First Prize's at film festivals worldwide. In addition, Rogoff won a Nomination for Outstanding Writing Achievement from the Writers Guild of America. This feature film, No Maps on My Taps was produced on grants from the AFI, PBS, the CPB, the Ford Foundation and the NEA. This film was the first to capture the black tap dancers' contribution to American history. It stars Bunny Briggs, Chuck Green and Sandman Sims. Lionel Hampton is the  Musical Director. It was shot in New York City and Small's Paradise in Harlem.
