*       U.S. Congress passed the legislation to extend the Terrorism Risk and Insurance Program (TRIP) for another seven years from January 1, 2008.

*       World Insurance (2007) is now available at Swiss Re.

*       Chapter 5 (Catastrophe Risk Assessment) – The Swiss Re definition of catastrophe updated in the PowerPoint.

*       Chapter 13 (Internal Loss Financing) – (1) Slides added for rent-a-captive and protected cell company (PCC) operations; (2) new summary along with a figure about “contingent capital arrangements” added in the PowerPoint.

*       Chapter 14 (External Loss Financing) – New slides added about “Multi-trigger Products” and “Triggers” to the PowerPoint.
